What is a hyperbaric chamber?
It is a huge capsule that compresses with air imitating the pressure of the depths. It is usually used for many things as bone regeneration treatments, but in our case, Diving practices, is used in case of ascending to the surface very fast.

Is it hard to compensate the ears?
Is is super easy. The pressure of the ears is "compensated" by covering the nose and trying to expel the air gently. We should never compensate apply strength like when we blow our nose, this would break the eardrum. This exercise is called Maneuver of Valsalva.

Are there anymedical restrictions to start diving?
Yes there are medical restrictions. Before starting your course you need to go to a doctor to do a medical checkup. Yoru doctor must fill an Official Medical Certificate (sold in the Pharmacy) staying that you are ok to dive.

Do I need to know how to swim?
To get your Open Water Diver certification you must know how to swim. You don´t need to be Michael Phelps. It is enought if you swim like Eric Moousambani (Olympic Swimmer from Equatorial Guinea).

How to get to Sanxenxo
By car, there is a Parking Puerto Deportivo Juan Carlos I facilities. If you want we can go and find your diving equipment at the hotel. By Plane. The nearest airports are Vigo at 61 Kilometers (50 minutes by car) and Santiago de Compostela Airport at 84 Kilometers (1 hour by car).

Where do we dive?
Buceo Wayuu is located in Sanxenxo. We dive in different dive spots within the Ría de Pontevedra, Ons and Sálvora Islands, Ría de Aldán and even in the Ría de Arousa and Islas Cíes.

At the beginning of September, Buceo Wayuu organized a campaign to clean the seabed of Playa de Silgar in Sanxenxo. Paddle Sanxenxo and Servinauta Sanxenxo collaborated in the initiative.
